How we do it
Scale climate action and impact across the African continent through two complimentary business models:
Farmer financing
Providing unmatched visibility in supply chains to partners through a scalable tech-platform with “boots-on-ground” operations and the formation of farmer networks.
Regenerative agriculture
Restoring soil health and reducing production/input costs through the application of biochar and implementation of conservation practices (later: verify sequestered CO2 as high integrity carbon credits to generate extra income).

Why we do it
The one factor we cannot control is climate change and this affects African farmers the most. Africa’s contribution to greenhouse gas emissions is 3.8%. Yet compared to the 60-70s Africa’s agricultural productivity growth has declined by 34%, while biodiversity has dropped 39%.
At the same time, there is a huge opportunity for regenerative agriculture to boost productivity and soil fertility, while also capturing carbon and retiring carbon credits.
Degas acts on this opportunity by providing a full package to smallholder farmers to enable productive and lucrative farming while visualizing their potential and impact with technology. Our journey has just begun and we aim to triple the income of 30 million farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa by 2030.
